Hidden Agenda is now out in the USA and also available in online stores. The official launch date is November 22, so we have a new video and more info about the game:
“I’m Will Doyle, game director for Supermassive Games‘ Hidden Agenda. I’m delighted to give you a sneak peak of our new crime thriller, which releases on 22nd November. Hidden Agenda blends the best of games and movies, allowing up to six players to play through a cinematic, interactive story.
We’ve taken inspiration from neo-noir thrillers such as True Detective and Se7en to craft a tale of betrayal and revenge, set in a rainy, rundown city. You play Detective Becky Marney and District Attorney Felicity Graves as they hunt down the “Trapper”: a serial killer who rigs his victims with explosives to murder the responding officers.
As part of the PS4 PlayLink initiative, Hidden Agenda is designed for use with phones or tablets instead of DualShock controllers. This makes the game accessible to friends who are new to gaming, and allows us to award secret information and objectives to individual players. Hidden Agenda is great fun to play on your own, but you’ll get a very different experience if you play it with friends.
The below video gives you an overview of the game’s two modes: Story and Competitive. In Story mode, you’ll work together to catch the killer. In Competitive mode, you’ll get secret objectives as you play through. Much like a bluffing card game, you’ll need to trick your friends to evade blame and make your hidden agenda come true.
We’ve had so much fun creating Hidden Agenda, and we can’t wait for you to experience it for yourselves! I hope you enjoy this preview.”
Katie attended the Pronovias Fashion Show in New York last Saturday and she was there to pick her own wedding dress (we can’t wait to see it! <3). Check out the pictures and her Facebook Live from the event:

Arrow is finally back this week and here are some Black Siren scoops:
Let’s talk about the cabal of villains coming in. Why do a group of villains?
Marc Guggenheim: It’s more along the lines of, if you’re going to do stories that are about this group, Team Arrow, tell a story about a group of antagonists. It’s not just about check off boxes in terms of like thorn, thorn, thorn; it’s more like group versus group. The theme of the season is family, but it’s all the different interpretations of the word family, and it’s about groups and about loyalties, and some of those loyalties are good and some of those loyalties are bad, and some of those people comprising the family are good people and some of them are bad people and some of them are conflicted people.
Is Black Siren part of this cabal?
MG: I don’t want to say.
Let’s talk Black Siren. We don’t know much about her life on Earth-2 other than she lost her version of Oliver. Is your plan to show us exactly how these two Laurels differ?
MG: We definitely want to share with the audience Black Siren’s backstory and how the worlds are different. We’ve talked about, like, do we do a flashback? I’ll be honest, in my mind right now, and this may be sharing too much of my process, but it’s a little weird to do a flashback to a parallel universe on a show that’s not Flash, so until we crack that, I can’t promise that, but it’s very important for the arc of the year for the audience to understand where Black Siren is coming from. The thing is, we’ve really taken to just calling her Laurel, because this is Laurel. It’s just a different Laurel than the one we knew for four years.
I’m returning to Arrow after a year break, thanks to the Katie Cassidy news. Do you have any Black Siren scoop to tie me over until October? — Helen
Ausiello: During an in-depth Q&A with Matt Mitovich, Stephen Amell indicated that of Team Arrow, “Oliver, ironically — and despite the fact that she allied herself with Adrian Chase — is the most hopeful one” when it comes to Black Siren perhaps one day being redeemed. “He’s like, ‘If theres a bit of Laurel in there, I want to find it.’” The feeling however is not at all mutual. As Amell puts it, stone-cold Black Siren feels “nothing” when she looks at the other Laurel Lance’s loved ones, Ollie included.
Arrow season 5 is now out in DVD and Blu-Ray, and some of the bonus track are on youtube already. In this deleted scene from the season finale, Black Siren confronts Quentin, Dinah and Rene while they’re planing to scape:
As you know Katie only filmed a few episodes of season 5, but we can see her quickly in the bloopers on 1:23 e 4:05.
Stephen Amell shared some scoops about Black Siren on this week’s EW Spoiler Room:
She’s certainly going to be a thorn in Team Arrow’s side when the show returns, but Stephen Amell brings up a really fascinating idea that the show may explore down the line. “She looks exactly like Laurel Lance, she is Laurel Lance,” Amell says. “Laurel Lance is the most famous dead person in Star City, so eventually, at some point, if she is reintroduced into public life, how do we unpack that? I’m excited for that. That’s the dynamic I think could be interesting.”
Arrow returns on Thursday, October 12, on The CW.
Katie couldn’t attend the first day of Dragon Con because she was very sick, but she was there on Saturday and Sunday. Wendy Mericle answered the question for this week’s Ask Ausiello:
I am excited to have Katie Cassidy back on Arrow as Black Siren. I hope she stays a villain, because it’s cool to have a regular female villain. What can we expect for her?
Ausiello: You can expect much of the aforementioned villainy, sprinkled with the occasional wish for a turn-around, at least by those who knew her Earth-One doppelgänger. “I don’t know if there’s any question about whether or not the [idea] of redemption will come up; it has to,” co-showrunner Wendy Mericle told TVLine. “Her father is there. Oliver is there. Everyone is going to be asking whether or not it’s possible to find a little piece of Laurel, the Laurel Lance they knew and loved, in there somewhere.” That said, “I think she’s interesting as a [villain],” Mericle asserted. “Black Siren is a badass.”
– UPDATE –
How will someone like Black Siren feel about Dinah suiting up as Black Canary?
Mericle: That’s a great question. I’ll just say this: She’s probably not going to like it very much. [Laughs] I mean, I don’t know how much research she’s done about her Earth-1 Laurel, but I would have to say that I think there’s going to be some sparks flying there.
